Mount KK and Bye Keppel!

Completed the Sundown 10 Km run yesterday, yes you saw correctly, it was 10 KM...haha..spurred on by Sheng long and Tiong Hoe to join, my first night race, was pretty shag ,don't know was it caused by the dragon boat training earlier in the Afternoon or was it the lactic/lateness of the timing that caused it. In fact, I wanted to walk after the 7 Km mark bt SL cheered me on and we completed the race in slightly more than an hour. It was a congested race although the presence of females outway the males by a lot, the overtaking and trying to zic-zag pass them was unpleasant. This being my first 10 Km race was unlike the half and Full marathon whereby the congestion ease after the 4-5 or max 7 Km mark and you could set the pace that you want...Overall a good experience, taught me to sleep in the afternoon in future instead of gg DB....Congrats also to another DB gal, Joan who completed her full Marathon! Way to Go,Joan!

Got back from Mount KK 3 weeks ago, managed to reach the summit to catch the breathtaking boulders and view. Our team consisted of Casey, Julie,Jenny, Sheng Long, tiong Hoe, Joan and Christine lai. The first part was reaching base camp, which was quite a comfortable climb, with temperatures hovering between 17-23 degrees and the many types of natural plants and flower, it was an experience to get connected with nature. The ascend to the summit from the base camp was done at 2.30 am and it was a tougher climb compared to the earlier ascend, 1 part involves holding a rope and bending your front body very close to the front to pull yourself up while another involves walking a path which is no bigger than the 2 of your feet put closely together side by side with the back a steep clift to forests and vegetation....this were the tougher ones, However some of our team members because of the cut-off timing at the check point before the summit were not foretold to us, and they did not meet the timing was denied entry to the summit...Feel kinda sad and guilty as we were supposed to be a group and everyone should reach the summit together, bt well I guess 1 person inability should not hinder anyone from achieving the summit...therefore, I might be gg to Mount KK again next year with them to conquer the summit again...if circumstances permits..

Workwise, has decided not to take up the offer for Mexico after some advice and the ever negative drug cartel and gang activities over there. Managed to found a job in an oil and gas industry company as an asst. accountant and will be starting in end of June'14. Job description is a close to full 2 pages! and I hope I am able to handle and settle in well over there. Currently, I am serving notice at Keppel and as of today, there are 14 more working days to go....how I wish these 14 days could jus fly past...Bt I am sure it will

Signed up for the run for cover race together with 7 others Keppel colleagues and we managed to pass the 1st qualifying race and will proceed for the 10 Km qualifying race this Sat..if we qualify we will end up in Ngee Ann city for a 24 Hr treadmill race...sounds fun..haha...

Been monitoring some stock counters the past few weeks and I am actually gg to put into practice the next week. Hope to see some returns consistently, have an aim currently, not too ambitious and hope that I can work toward achieving that aim.

Alrite, shld write till here..till next time, cya

Take care.
