Happy Chinese New Year to all! Today's the last day of CNY....managed to make it in time..haha
Got bk from Tioman 1 week ago, was at ABC one of Tioman;s hot site, but given it was a rather rundown village compared to Paya and genting....there wasn't much people on ABC.
Went with Kai Xin and Tai yuan to get our Advanced Diving Cert for me and Kaixin, while Tai yuan went to obtain his Rescue Diver which is 1 level above Advance at B & J Diving centre...
Did 5 dives, the first 2 being swimming pool dive, and Peak optimal Buoyancy where we learned a great deal of Buoyancy techniques, inhale to ascend and exhale to descend, gg thru metal triangles under the sea which were placed jus rite on top of each other...went Deep water diving next, where we went as deep as 30 Metres but it was a gradual one where we dive at 20 M for some time, 23 M for some time and so for until we reached 30 M.....
Did Wreck Diving where we swam round a sunken Navy Ship which was an eye opener for me, there were lots of Marine Life within the ship and managed to saw a school of Barracudas swam past me.....vision was 2-3 metres which was quite bad maybe due to the ending of the Monsoon Season...The last dive we did was Night dive and by the time we did our night dives, we were exhausted...the Deep Sea and the Wreck Dive had killed my enthusiasm....I had seasick after the Deep Sea dive and managed to feed the fish with my vomit ...
But,nevertheless, nite dive wasn't as tough tat it sounds out to be, every one of us held 1 torch and we were in a grp of 4-5 which was a pretty big grp....it was reallllllyy cooolld when we ascend the boat and was glad that the 3 dives in a day had finally passed..haha
This was the first time that I went Tioman without staying in Ronnie's chalet and Rose Ah yi company, a bit of foreign and strange especially when everything needed $$ haha, 1 dive = $160 Rm nt cheap leeh...... it was pretty much a good trip minus the vomiting...and oso the uncle who asked me blue or green Milo early in the Morning....lol...Tai Yuan came back 1 day later than us due to us having to attend to our work commitments...
Work wise, have tendered my resignation late last month after getting my B....A much thought decision, the new accountant came in, a Malaysian guy who claims everything is difficult bt managed to understand a lot faster than you would thought after spending 3-4 yrs in Abu Dabi, a nice guy he seems...
Bt it wasn't the case for one of my interview where the recruiter was very sarcastic, saying that Keppel is an govt entity and that we are pampered and that working in a big Finance team would means each of us are very relax....needless to say, I didnt express much interest in the firm even the HR lady who was sitting with us seems to agree that the Finance Manager was indeed too sarcastic....bt well all kinds of people exists and we jus has to ensure that at the end of the day, we are accountable to ourselves and to our set of core values and not to be bothered by those negative comments that are bound to arise
The above interview sort of reduce my eagerness to find a job and preferring instead to stay in Keppel and hope that PH allows me to trfr to Fels fast....I thk the offer to withdraw my resignation is still there till next Mon and hopefully this weekend would allow me to think thru if resigning from Keppel is really what I want...
